Short Range Install Guide

How to install and set up Short Range

Follow along with our Short Range guide to learn how to quickly install the insert and set it up in the Irrigreen app!

1

Remove the nozzle from the sprinkler head

STEP 1: Unscrew the green cap counterclockwise to remove it from the nozzle.

2

Connecting the Short Range Insert to the nozzle

STEP 2: Insert the short range insert into the bottom of the nozzle, with the arrow pointing towards the spray ports.

Orientation matters. The stamped arrow must point towards the spray ports of the nozzle.

3

Attach the mesh filter

STEP 3: Place the screen mesh filter back on top of the restrictor.

4

Connecting the nozzle back onto the riser

STEP 4: Insert the full assembly into the riser and twist the nozzle cap clockwise firmly onto the riser.

5

Toggle "Short Range" on

6

A confirmation screen will pop up showing how the Short Range Insert should be installed. If it is installed correctly, proceed.

7

Calibrate the Short Range head

Calibration will automatically retry up to 3 times before it fails if it detects insufficient water pressure/flow, air bubbles, or debris. If the calibration continues to fail, please contact us for support.

8

Map these new zones

Now that the calibration is complete, the head needs to be assigned a perimeter. To map that perimeter, select "Edit Shape". Once in the mapping tool, add points & move them to where they're needed until your desired perimeter is complete. Use the "Play" function to see how the head will operate during future quick runs.

Short Range Heads can map distances between 1' and 15' away. If a point is moved too close to the head, an error message will appear at the top of the screen. Points will not be able to be placed further than 15' away.
