Follow the guide below to get started installing your Smart Valve.
14” x 19” valve box
Smart Valve + Swing Joint
Drip Connection Kit
Drip Tube Kit (1–5 kits)
PVC glue or poly clamps
Pipe cutter
Choose a suitable water supply location and run 1” poly or PVC to a 14” x 19” valve box; or, you can tap into an existing drip line connection.
Install a 1” FPT fitting at the supply (end or tee), positioned inside the valve box.
Connect swing joint to the 1” FPT fitting.
Attach 1” → ¾” adapter to the Smart Valve's top outlet.
Install screen filter (arrow in flow direction, body facing up).
Add ¾” → ¾” adapter, then the 6” adapter pipe.
Install a ¾” 90° elbow, then the 8” adapter pipe facing up towards the surface.
-Add another ¾” → ¾” adapter and connect the drip tube tee.
Install a ¾” flush valve at the lowest elevation:
Connect the valve to a drip tee with Teflon tape.
Cut tubing at the low point and insert into the tee.
This way you can also flush before freezing weather to prevent tube rupture.
Arrange assembly so the Smart Valve connects to the swing joint and the drip tee sits at grade outside the box for tubing connection.
Space parallel tubing runs ~30 inches apart.
Kits include 100 ft tubing + 25 staples (staple every ~4 ft).
Layout should start and return to the valve box.
Up to 500 ft of tubing can be used per Smart Valve.
Use included couplers to join or repair tubing.
