Make sure your sprinkler is installed near the edge of the sidewalk, boulevard strip, or road, as heads have a minimum reach of 5 feet. Two common placement options:

180° center placement on the zone edge to cover the full area

180° offset placement on the zone edge to cover opposite ends (useful if there's a tree in the strip)

To program in the app, open the map for the desired zone and select the point just before the sprinkler would hit the hardscape.

Tap the Point Options gear icon.

Select "Drop Head at This Point."

The sprinkler will go underground at that point and pop back up on the other side, shown by a red dotted line.
