Connecting Smart Controller 2 to the internet

Follow our guide below!

1

Connecting to the Irrigreen Network

The Irrigreen Smart Controller broadcasts its own network for you to connect to, allowing sprinkler functionality if you lose internet. It is also used to transition the controller over to your local Wi-Fi network.

Our controller uses 2.4 GHz. Make sure that if you have both 2.4 and 5GHz that there isn't an optimization setting enabled that will automatically switch to 5. Our controller will not work on 5GHz and will drop connection.

Check with your network provider if you're unsure.

Connecting to the Irrigreen Network

Standing next to your controller, open the Irrigreen App. Login to your controller using the ID and Password on the controller box or by scanning the barcode. Your controller will now search for the Irrigreen Network to establish connection. After a moment, you will get a message in your app that says: System Offline This is normal. Tap ‘Try Irrigreen Network.’

If you're using an iPhone, turn on 'Local Network' in the Irrigreen App settings (Phone settings>Irrigreen>toggle Local Network). Without 'Local Network' enabled in the app, the app can't give credentials to your Irrigreen Controller 2

If unsuccessful, try the following troubleshooting options:

  2. Check the fuse in the controller. If the element in the middle looks broken or the glass is smokey, contact tech support for a replacement.

  3. Exit the Irrigreen App, force close (swipe up and away), restart.

  4. Check LED on the transformer at outlet.

  5. Check LED status light inside the controller (stable green)
