Assigning Heads

Now that you have all your sprinkler heads connected, you're ready to add your Zones to the controller. To do this you will have to go to the Zone's page in the app. You can easily switch back and forth in this guide to get from here to there. Go in order starting at head Digital Zone 1.

With the controller powered on go to your 'Zones' tab (4 square icon). Begin the process of adding heads one-by-one. Begin by tapping "+" then "Add New Head."

The system will perform a “Line Scan” to check each line for sprinkler heads that are connected to the system.

The Irrigreen app interface will walk through identifying and selecting sprinkler heads to occupy each zone.

Verify that each wire/line has the expected number of heads on it and that the total number of heads expected matches the heads found.

The latest heads now comes with the ability to use Bluetooth to identify and assign heads closest to you. This comes with the added benefit of speeding up the assigning process.

Simply stand next to the head you want to assign, and a Bluetooth icon will indicate different signal strengths. The closest head will have the strongest signal.

For older style heads (pre-2024), tap 'identify,' after 6 seconds the green cap will begin rotating back and forth. Once you have identified the head you want to assign to that Zone, tap the bubble on the left and then select "Done" in the top right corner. You have assigned your first Zone!

Repeat process until all heads have been assigned in the app. Click continue to go back to the main install guide chapter selection.
